Insurance-Friendly Doula
Limited Families, Full Attention
Your Doula, Every Time
WHAT MAKES EMPOWERED PATHS DIFFERENT
Most doula support starts and ends with the physical.
Positions, breathing, what to pack in your hospital bag. It all matters, but it leaves out the part of you carrying the most weight – the late-night nerves, the questions you don't say out loud, and the pressure to have it all figured out before your due date.
Empowered Paths doula support in the Central Valley was built around the whole experience, not just the birth.

DOULA SUPPORT COVERED BY YOUR INSURANCE
You shouldn't have to choose between the support you want and what your budget allows. Empowered Paths accepts health insurance for both birth and postpartum doula services in the Central Valley, California. Not sure if your plan is covered? Reach out and I'll help you figure it out.
Insurance plans we currently accept: Kaiser Health Plan of San Joaquin, Health Net, Anthem Blue Cross (Medi-Cal), California Medi-Cal.
ABOUT EMPOWERED PATHS
Meet Rejeanna Bonnett
I made it to 8 centimeters with my second baby — physically my body was right there, but without the right support in the room my mind gave out before my body did. That moment is the reason I do this work. The moms I support keep telling me the same thing — she knew what I needed before I even knew. I learned that from my own three births, not a textbook, and it's the story behind everything Empowered Paths is built on. I'm a DONA-certified birth and postpartum doula in the Central Valley, California, and I walk alongside my families because no mom should have to navigate this alone.

What Central Valley Moms Are Saying About Empowered Paths
What the Moms Will Tell You
I highly recommend Rejeanna! I went into pregnancy absolutely terrified of giving birth, but after just a few conversations with her, I felt prepared, informed, and empowered. She took the time to walk me through the anatomy and explain what was actually happening in my body, which helped me understand each phase of labor instead of fearing it. She taught my husband how to apply counter pressure, guided me through pain management techniques, and helped me learn how to breathe, relax, and stay in control of my mind and body during contractions. Having her by my side during birth to help me focus and lock in was an absolute game changer. She advocated for me so well and made me feel truly supported. I will never give birth without Rejeanna — she’s a rockstar!! – Madison M.
Rejeanna was our birth doula. I was in labor on Christmas night and she came right to the hospital. She made me feel very comfortable and I appreciated how she helped keep me calm, despite the complications I had. As this was our first baby, my husband and I appreciated having her there with us for the birth, since it was a new and stressful experience and she helped reassure us through the process. I highly recommend Rejeanna for doula support! – Elaine F.
I don't know what I would have done without Rejeanna. I was planning a homebirth and towards the end of pregnancy I have to switch to the hospital for an induction. I was nervous about the induction but Rejeanna helped me work through that. I was really hoping to labor naturally and knew that could be hard with an induction. Rejeanna was able to help me acheive my goal of going through birth without pain medication and for that I am very thankful! – Sydney H.
Rejeanna was wonderful throughout my pregnancy and birth! She was very attentive and answered all my questions. During the birth she was very supportive to me and my husband, with her encouraging words and even though it was virtual we felt her calming presence. – Brooke D.
Rejeanna was a calm presence for me as I was laboring. She helped me remember to move and that I was in control of the situation. She's someone I definitely recommend having by your side! – Morgan A.

Have Questions?
Yes. A doula isn't just for unmedicated births. There are still hours of labor before the epidural, decisions to navigate while you're in it, and a whole postpartum experience on the other side. I've supported families through epidural births, unmedicated births, home births, and cesarean births – the type of birth doesn't change the fact that you deserve someone paying attention to you the entire time.
The opposite. Your partner is the most important person in that room and I'm there to make sure he doesn't feel sidelined or helpless. I help him understand what's happening at each stage, give him a role that's actually useful, and make sure he's supported too – because no one ever checks on the person holding your hand.
Empowered Paths accepts several insurance plans including Kaiser, Health Plan of San Joaquin, Health Net, Anthem Blue Cross Medi-Cal, and California Medi-Cal for both birth and postpartum doula services in the Central Valley. If you're not sure whether your plan covers doula care, reach out and I'll help you figure it out.
There's no wrong time but earlier is better. Most of my families reach out in the second trimester, which gives us time to build a real relationship before your birth. The prep work we do together during pregnancy – your fears, your preferences, your questions – is what allows me to show up to your birth already knowing you instead of meeting you for the first time in labor.
That's exactly where most of my families start. You don't have to be sold on the idea before you reach out. Book a free consultation and let's just talk – about your pregnancy, what's on your mind, and what kind of support would actually feel helpful to you. There's never any pressure.
